Dance Reflections is a program of growth and development, and Laynna believes in demonstrating advancements your child makes, beginning with the first meeting. Laynna will perform a sit-down consultation with all of her students and parents before enrollment for an introductory conference to mark where your child is coming from and where your child is going. This consultation is necessary for Laynna to assess your students wants, needs, abilities and build a curriculum appropriate for positive growth. Look forward to a "Reflection Card" once a month to track the progress of your student. Laynna prides herself on making Dance Reflections not just another dance studio but a journey to self improvement.
Interested, but uncertain if this is appropriate activity for your child? Laynna invites all new students to participate in an existing class for free! As a parent, you will be able to see first-hand Laynna's amazing interaction with your child, and most importantly, see your child become engaged with other students in a friendly environment.
All dance classes at Dance Reflections are described as "Creative Movement" classes. Creative Movement classes include inspiration from all dance genres such as ballet, jazz, hip -- hop, contemporary, modern, and pompon. Creative Movement encompass what Dance Reflections hopes to instill in each dancer; A broad range of rhythmic motions, enthusiastic self expression, and high-energy chorographical techniques.
Classes are catered to the needs of its participants. In order to be successful in a dance class you must continue to be stimulated by the music and moves. Each week will consist of an aerobic warm up, isolation techniques, rhythmic training, dynamic choreography, expressive freestyle, and finished by a refreshing cool down, all while accompanied by fresh jams!
Instead of classes being separated into genres, classes are grouped by grade level and dance skill. To have the best outcome in classes, students will be paired with other students with the same comprehensive level of learning.
Laynna will conduct a consultation with all of her students and their guardians to ensure classes are appropriate and beneficial to the student. The consultation is only the beginning of the guaranteeing progress. Progress reports will be sent home to praise students on their achievements and track improvement for parents.
Laynna hopes going the extra mile will inspire students and parents to continue to participate in dance classes for many years to come.
