Laynna Wiggins, owner & choreographer, has been actively involved in creating safe and enjoyable outlets for children with special needs for over 7 years, assisting in organizations such as Circle of Friends, ARC of Sedgwick County, Sedgwick County Cooperative, and Starkey. Laynna's passion for dance, including 15 years of performing and choreographing, combined with her amazing spirit, laid-back style, and encouraging attitude, makes Dances Reflections a place your child will look forward to visiting each week.
Laynna uses her own personal life journey as an example of her ability to reveal a reflection through the art of dance. Her aspiration for this organization is to assist children with special needs with their individual journeys while introducing an ordinary activity in a new way.
Laynna believes the power of dance is undeniable. Dancing is not only physically stimulating but mentally, emotionally, and psychologically invigorating. Anyone of any age can benefit from such a positive source of movement. Because Laynna has worked with the disabled population for many years now, she has seen first-hand the positive impact it has on their lives. Laynna feels the disabled community of Wichita is neglected in this area, and she hopes to change that. Though there are many dance studios in the Wichita area, Laynna wants her studio to be geared towards the needs and wants of her disabled clients. In order to be successful in anything, we need to enjoy what we are doing and ultimately benefit. Laynna hopes to provide a facility that encourages a healthier lifestyle, positive energy, and confidence.
